Job title: Low Voltage Technician III/IV – Data Center (Cat6 Terminations, Conduit & Controls Wiring)

Location: Central Ohio project sites, including New Albany, Hilliard, Marysville, Jeffersonville, and others · Full-time · $27–$34/hr + overtime, based on a hands-on skills assessment

Is this you? You field-terminate your own Cat6, bend and set your own conduit, and land control wiring from a drawing without hand-holding. Your work is clean, labeled and tested, and you can show it. If that's you, we want to talk. If you're earlier in your LV career, join our talent network (linked here). We'll reach out when we open LVT I and II roles.

What you'll do

  • Install conduit, raceways, cable tray and enclosures from project drawings and specifications
  • Pull, dress, label and field-terminate Cat6 (and coax as needed) to jacks and patch panels per TIA-568, then test and troubleshoot your terminations
  • Terminate and verify control wiring for BMS, EPMS and other building systems from wiring diagrams and point-to-point schedules
  • Read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams and work from them independently
  • Support commissioning, punch list and system turnover
  • Lead a small crew or task area and train junior techs (LVT IV)
  • Operate lifts and ladders for overhead work, following all safety requirements

What you get

  • $27–$34/hr based on skill, not seniority; overtime at 1.5x on [typical weekly hours]
  • Year-round employment with one company; no waiting between jobs
  • 401(k) with Roth option, eligible the first of the month after hire; company matches 100% of the first 3% and 50% of the next 2% (4% total)
  • Three medical plan options through UMR, including an HDHP with a company HSA contribution
  • Dental and vision at no cost when you enroll in medical
  • Company-paid basic life and AD&D, plus an employee assistance program
  • 6 paid holidays, plus 2 flex holidays starting January 2027; and PTO
  • Uniform allowance starting January 2027
  • A published path to Foreman and Site Superintendent, plus controls and commissioning tracks

You must have

  • Typically 5+ years of commercial or industrial low voltage or electrical work. Demonstrated skill matters more than time in the trade
  • Field-terminating Cat6 yourself to jacks and patch panels (not only installing pre-terminated cable)
  • Installing EMT conduit and raceways, including bending offsets and saddles
  • OSHA 10

Strong pluses: control wiring terminations for BMS, EPMS or industrial controls; cable tester experience (Fluke DSX, Versiv or similar); data center experience; BICSI Installer certification; manufacturer certifications (CommScope, Panduit, Siemon); OSHA 30; prior lead or foreman role.

Baseline: 18+, valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites across Central Ohio, able to lift 50–60 lbs, work at heights and on lifts, and comfortable reading, writing and speaking English on the job. Safety briefings, permits, drawings and crew communication are all in English, and so is our interview process.

How to apply: Apply and answer the short screening questions. Our process has three steps: (1) apply and answer the screening questions, (2) a short phone interview within 2 business days, and (3) an in-person interview with a hands-on skills assessment that sets your level and pay rate. Strong candidates hear back within 48 hours of the in-person interview. Earlier in your LV career? Join our LV talent network by clicking here and we'll contact you when LVT I and II roles open.
