An instrumentation technician, often posted as an I&E or E&I technician, installs, calibrates, and repairs the instruments and control loops that measure pressure, flow, level, and temperature in refineries, chemical plants, power plants, and water systems.
Most postings combine instrument work with electrical maintenance.
